ReadyMe Program

WHAT IS READYME?

ASAE’s ReadyMe is a one-of-a-kind, innovative program that provides essential (or ‘soft’) skills training and mentorship for current and future leaders. Through this program, we are helping to develop a well-prepared, diverse group of leaders ready for various career opportunities, including C-Suite positions. Each program cohort lasts for four months.

WHO PARTICIPATES IN READYME?

ReadyMe is for any current or emerging leader who wants to sharpen their essential (or ‘soft’) skills. The program focuses on a mastery of traits, characteristics, and knowledge (beyond technical skills and abilities) that help make leaders successful.

Education module topics include Knowing Yourself, Strategic Thinking and Decision Making, Organizational Culture, DEIA, Change and Innovation Management, Communications, and Motivation and Momentum.

Essential skills training offers appeal for professionals regardless of career stage and level. Therefore, ReadyMe continues to attract diverse participation. In our first cohort, 50% of participants were directors or senior directors, 33% were C-Suite leaders, and 17% were managers. This trend has continued into the second iteration of our program.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Each ReadyMe program cohort lasts four months, and consists of three beneficial components:

  • Seven online modules and mentorship sessions. Each online module includes self-paced material designed to enhance the participant’s knowledge and use of essential skills necessary for leadership. At various intervals during the four-month cohort experience, participants will meet with an association C-Suite mentor they select. Upon completion of the virtual program, participants will receive a certificate they can share with their employers and, if desired, on professional networking platforms.
  • ReadyMe Leadership Academy. This one-day capstone event provides an opportunity for cohort participants to take a deeper dive into key areas of leadership development through facilitated training, ‘hot topic’ discussions, peer-to-peer activities, meetings with mentors, and more. The agenda focuses on timely leadership topics and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility education. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, June 20 at ASAE’s Conference Center in Washington, DC.
  • “My Story” video. Upon completion of the full program, ReadyMe participants will complete a “My Story” video sharing a brief overview of their experience. This video will be shared on our platforms and benefits participations through increased visibility within the association community.

ELIGIBILITY AND COMMITMENT

Our 2024 cohorts begin in February and July. If you missed registering for the February group, register now to save your seat for July. Each cohort receives four months to access and complete program content. We anticipate that each educational module will take about 1-2 hours to complete, including activities and discussion boards.

PROGRAM INVESTMENT

ReadyMe is competitively priced at just $949 for ASAE members and $1,249 for nonmembers.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

ReadyMe participants earn 14.5 Certified Association Executive (CAE) credits upon completion of the program. Participants may also earn an additional 5 CAE credits through live participation in our Leadership Academy event. These credits may be used by first-time CAE applicants to meet exam eligibility requirements or by current CAEs to renew their certification. Credits gained through our program might also be used toward renewal of other professional certifications, as well. Please check with the appropriate certifying bodies for confirmation of eligibility.
